Things I learned this time around

-the best first kiss is not anticipated
-deciding to take the risk at the beginning, while honestly ready to accept either outcome, makes break ups less painful
-I need to plan less, enjoy more
-I need to develop more patience and flexibility. In fact, being in situations that require lots of patience won't kill me, but make me stronger.
-I should always put the past behind me, and not make comparisons
-it's not about being similar, but about being complimentary; this includes understanding each others' needs and working to meet them.
-honesty, trust, loyalty are deeply important foundations of a good relationship
